HRSA Bureau of Primary Health Care Announces Ending the HIV Epidemic - Primary Care HIV Prevention Funding Now Available: Applications due December 16

Last week, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) released a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for Ending the HIV Epidemic - Primary Care HIV Prevention (PCHP; HRSA-20-091). The funding will support the Health Center Program in expanding HIV prevention services that decrease the risk of HIV transmission, focusing on supporting access to and use of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). HRSA will invest approximately $50 million in HRSA-funded health centers located in geographic locations identified by Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America.

The funding opportunity also emphasizes that HRSA-funded health centers partner with:

1)  Health departments,

2)  Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program-funded organizations, and

3)  Community and faith-based organizations.

Partnership activities include identifying at-risk individuals, testing for HIV, and linking patients to care.

The deadline for applications is December 16.
